Medical market research firm Verilogue have released an interesting infographic which illustrates the communication between patients and their healthcare professional.
Unsurprisingly female patients are more engaged than males, with male patients less likely to discuss their condition openly with their physician regardless of whether the HCP is male or female.
Patients visiting their physician in relation to a dermatological condition are less likely to be engaged and have shorter interactions with the HCP whilst mental health interactions are longer and the patients are more engaged during the consultation.
